The RFR-RAIN-8-SMART-ADV is a 8-port RFID reader that combines a reader, gateway and software in one single device. Access and control the reader from any browser using the built-in UI, the Zone Manager and start reading tags instantly – no programming required. In addition to the Smart Reader, the Advanced reader comes with a GPIO for access control and 2 USB slots for camera and GPS.
Designed to be placed on a ceiling or on doorways to use a maximum number of antennas without the need to use multiplexers. Ability to read tags at around 1000 in a few seconds.
The RFRain Advanced Reader (RFR-RAIN-8-SMART-ADV) covers a tag read distance that is over 80 feet with 9 dBiL antenna. It supports the tag read speed for fast moving objects under a doorway or the ability to read 1000 tags in a few seconds on assets leaving or entering an area in a warehouse.
Unlike other RFID readers in the market, our Smart Readers are pre-configured with the Zone Manager software and provide you with real-time data access to your asset information and location. The RFR-ZM Zone Manager software provides full reporting capabilities and data portability, and integrates seamlessly with enterprise management systems using Rest API. We made RFID easy for you.
The RFRain smart reader suite of products supports a large set of Rest API’s to configure, control, and retrieve data from the reader effortlessly using any language including C,C++,Python, and .Net. In addition, the Zone Manager supports a Rest API emulator, which allows you to run the Rest API commands on the reader first prior to integration. Python and .Net SDK are available for download.
