The RFR-RAIN-4-SMART-ADV is a 4-port RFID reader that combines a reader, gateway and software in one single device. Access and control the reader from any browser using the built-in UI, the Zone Manager and start reading tags instantly – no programming required. In addition to the Smart Reader, the Advanced reader comes with a GPIO for access control and 2 USB slots for camera and GPS. The Smart reader comes with a 12,000 mAh built-in battery.

The RFR-RAIN-4-SMART-ADV delivers high-speed and smooth data processing capability. The RFRain Smart Reader covers a tag read distance that is over 80 feet with 9 dBiL antenna. Fast Track capabilities allow read speeds of up to 700 tags/sec. With the 12,000 mAh built-in Li-ion battery, install the RFR-RAIN-4-SMART-ADV on a robot, drone, mobile truck, or forklift without power interruption.

The RFRain smart reader suite of products supports a large set of Rest API’s to configure, control, and retrieve data from the reader effortlessly using any language including C,C++,Python, and .Net. In addition, the Zone Manager supports a Rest API emulator, which allows you to run the Rest API commands on the reader first prior to integration. Python and .Net SDK are available for download.

With the GPIO slot on the new advanced reader that combines RFID and access control capabilities, access to any type of access points can be controlled. Access will be automatically granted to those who present an UHF RFID tag at an access point.
