The new RFR-RAIN-1-HANDHELD reader is an extention of the RFRain Smart Reader platform, and is designed to accomodate remote RFID applications. The Handheld Smart Reader does not require additional hardware or software to enable a user to start monitoring assets in real time. With the Zone Manager Mobile software configured for the RFR-RAIN-1-HANDHELD reader, it is ready for use right out of the box.

The RFR-RAIN-1-HANDHELD covers a tag read distance that is up to 80 feet with 7.5 dBiL circularly polarized antenna. Further, The 12,000 mAh Li-on battery makes the RFR-RAIN-1-HANDHELD the most durable reader in the market with 8 hours of long-lasting and uninterrupted performance. Our Smart handheld Readers provide real-time data access to your asset information and location with the Zone Manager Mobile software relaying the information directly to the RFRain Web Services dashboard where you can find the history log. The RFRain Web Services software provides full capabilities and data portability, and seamlessly integrates with enterprise management systems using Rest API.
The RFRain smart reader suite of products supports a large set of Rest API’s to configure, control, and retrieve data from the reader effortlessly using any language including C,C++,Python, and .Net. In addition, the Zone Manager supports a Rest API emulator, which allows you to run the Rest API commands on the reader first prior to integration. Python and .Net SDK are available for download.
