RFRain partnered with Revival to improve linen tracking and reduce the time required for manual counting at the Margaritaville hotel. The goal was to eliminate labor-intensive processes and provide real-time visibility into linen movement and usage.
Traditional linen management relied on manual counting, which was time-consuming, inconsistent, and prone to error. This often led to lost inventory, inaccurate counts, and increased operational costs.
To address these challenges, RFRain deployed a high-speed RFID-based linen tracking solution.
Each linen item was embedded with a durable, washable RFID tag, enabling automated tracking throughout its lifecycle. A 16-port RFRain RFID reader was installed in the basement processing area, creating a centralized read zone for all incoming dirty linens.
As linens enter the facility, they are scanned automatically at speeds of up to 1,000 items per second. This eliminates the need for manual counting and ensures every item is accurately recorded in real time.
The system provides continuous visibility into linen movement, allowing operators to track which items are leaving the facility and identify patterns of loss or shrinkage. This level of insight enables better inventory control, reduces replacement costs, and improves operational efficiency.
